Wibutee vs. Watz (2003)
Live v isuals for acclaimed Norwegian electronic jazz group Wibutee (on Jazzland Recordings.) A group of "visualizers" have been developed, using sound analysis to influence abstract graphic systems. Because the visualizers have been created in a visual programming environment (the excellent VVVV by Meso) , they can be modified in realtime to allow live improvisation. So far approximately over 20 concerts have been performed.
The project was conceptualised with Håkon Kornstad of Wibutee, who is also an excellent graphic designer. He does all the graphic design for Wibutee and also designed the background images for the visualizers.
